Waterfall
|
|
Suddenly the world seems a load lighter now that the marketing paper is out of the way! My hand is cramping though, and I can barely see what I'm typing 'coz my eyes won't focus or the screen... after effects of frantic writing for 2 hours.
In the meantime, do enjoy the pictures above. The waterfalls are part of the Mackenzie falls at the Grampians range west of Melbourne. Took a trip there during the spring break... will be putting up photos from that trip every now and then as the days go along!

Bark up a tree...
|
|
On the menu today: Tree bark.
My parents are in Melbourne for the weekend! Haven't seen them in months.. Pity it's during the exams though, or I'd bring them around the place a bit. The golf courses will keep them quite occupied anyway. Sometimes I wonder if they came here to visit me or to play golf! Okay, my marketing paper's tomorrow and it's the toughest of the papers I'm sitting for. Better get cracking then...
have a fabulous Thursday!

Jelly
|
|
That's kinda like what my stomach feels now... jelly... at least my legs are still holding up. It's just a pre-exam feeling, I'm sure it'll be fine later! *crosses fingers* Those jellyfish were taken at the Melbourne Aquarium. Sometimes I wish life were that simple, just floating around where the current takes me 'n all, but then I think after a couple of hours I'd be bored to oblivion. Plus, jellyfish can't take photos....
Anyways, off to my exam, I'll add more photos this evening if I'm in the mood!
-------------------------------*update*-----------------------------
Woohoo! Exam was a breeze, praise God!
Hang on... there's still 3 papers to go..
0) *sigh* 0)
Anyway my sweetheart came over to visit me this morning in spite of her busy schedule! (She's mugging for exams as well), so as per her request I'll put up some photos of an adorable superb blue wren we saw at the Cranbourne Botanical Gardens. Was gonna save 'em for tomorrow's post, but oh well..
The bird is about the size of a golf ball (just slightly larger), and put together with it's lovely blue colour, it is just SOOOOO adorable! Only the males are blue though. The females are brown with a reddish/orange beak. I'll put one pic of the female up 'coz I think it gives a better perspective on the size of these birds.

Busy as a bee

Bee!? They should change it to "Busy as an undergrad student"

Have a statistics exam tomorrow, tonnes of past year exams to look through (hopefully I'll have time to attempt a few), my room is an absolute junk heap and I haven't been on my bike for 2 weeks!! Can't wait for next Thursday when the exams will be all over! Sometimes I envy all you coffee drinkers out there... I could use something like that for the boost, just that coffee doesn't really work for me... it sorta leaves me zombified for the entire night, and that carries over into the next day. Not good at all....

Ok just a little intro, I'm a first year undergrad student from Singapore, currently studying in Melbourne. Was nuts about cycling before coming here (thumbs up roadies!), still am, but the attention's shifted slightly to the great outdoors since my arrival down under. For those of you that haven't been to Singapore, it's an island measuring 26km by 42km, much of which is developed. Taking that into consideration, the outdoors back home can in no way be considered "great". Hence, travelling around Melbourne/Victoria on the weekends, I was just blown away by the vastness of the country, the stunning scenery and the really colourful and diverse wildlife (I can count more species of birds in the local park than I have seen in my entire life back in Singapore)! If only stuff wasn't so expensive here, it'd be pretty close to paradise......
