Started shopping for the hike at the end of the month. Bought my backpack today, a 75 litre old-model carribbee that was on discount. Hope it's not too old to do its job!! Still looking for cooking equipment. Anyone recommend an inexpensive but reliable and portable gas stove?

Started thinking about playing 26 things after being inspired by Beth! Darn, these things come much more slowly with me... anyway here's the first few.

I enjoyed your 26 things. Very good interpretation of the words. Cold, Close-up really caught my eye. Your reflections is very good also.

Stuff on a desk

Still stuck at Jas' house.. *sigh*. Here's an idea of some of the stuff you can find on her workdesk. For some strange reason, she prefers to study on the dining table instead. Anyway, I'm trying to pick up some skills at capturing or appreciating still life, so any constructive bashing would be much appreciated!

Tomorrow's Monday and there's no school... sure feels odd!

That's coz my table in the room is so messy and the bed is soooooo distracting!!!! Mon 10-Nov-2003 05:30

Thanks for the tips Beth! Went to the webby... can't click with their language though. Will look more into the rule of thirds and start playing around with angles! Mon 10-Nov-2003 12:52

Greens and others...

Speaking of green things, I watched The Matrix: Revolutions today with Jasmine and another friend. Ugh. It's almost as if they couldn't think of how to cap it off! 0) Saw one of the CCM members, Edward, off at the airport today. He's going back to his hometown in Malaysia having completed his studies here. All the best, Ed, hopefully I'll be able to drop by 'n visit some time soon! To anyone reading this, have a fabulous, blessed Sunday!

I love the greens, also the one blue flower, my favorite Mon 10-Nov-2003 14:17

I've been in Melbourne for almost 5 months now, and today was the first time I've been in the city during lunch hour on a weekday. It is PACKED! Seems the people here really know how to take a break when the time comes! Sadly, my camera batteries drained out after just a few shots.

Oh Man!! Look at that blue sky!

Only been gone from Melbourne a couple of years and things look sooo different. So many changes.

It's St Paul's Cathedral btw.

Shelled!

The same shot, diff. white balance setting
School's out!! No more academic muck for four months!!!
Unfortunately, Jas' exams have just started, so I'm stuck here in her house keeping her company as she gets down to work. Tried taking a few still life shots, but I guess I totally lack the perception required. I think I'll stick to the outdoors..

Anyway, will write more tomorrow... right now I'm too tired to think

Sean: The previous content of these shells was probably alot less lethal thanks for dropping by! Fri 7-Nov-2003 05:45

Turmoil

Another Grampians shot. also kinda describes the state of mind I'm in now; one last paper to go, and I honestly don't feel like reading another line of text. Then again, I do want to try to score a high distinction for the paper. There are also a number of other things spinning around in my head... oh well, cest la vie! Two days to freedom!

Streaks of blue...

Three down, one to go! Had my accounting paper today. Got quite a scare when I sat down in my seat in the exam hall and realised I didn't have a calculator!! Zipped to the bookshop, bought a cheap lil shopping calculator, zipped back and plonked breathless into my chair. Reading time had commenced but I think my brain didn't have enough oxygen to process the words. Paper was easy though, finished with time to spare. Time to aim all the guns on the management paper this Thursday...

That picture was taken at the Balconies on my trip to the Grampians. On retrospect, I should've framed the bottom of the photo with the sillhouettes of the vegetation, but oh well...

My parents left for home today. Spent the day with them, and went to the Melbourne Observation deck with Jasmine after they left. Today's picture set is just some of the stuff I took with them. I have an accounting paper tomorrow afternoon... I really shouldn't be having so much fun!!

Thoughts of home....

The sunset was viewed at the southernmost tip of Sentosa, a tiny little island just off the coast of my not as tiny but still miniscule island home, Singapore. The photo in sepia was taken from Jasmine's front gate. That building is the old Dynasty hotel, presently called the Marriot.

Spent the day preparing for the accounting paper coming up on Monday. Since coming to Melbourne, life's been going by so fast that I've barely had time to miss home. While I definitely prefer Melbourne to Singapore by far, now that I think of it, there'll always be some strings that'll tie me back to the place I grew up in.

Okay before I get nostalgic, I'm gonna go write a birthday card for my sweetheart, who turns 19 on the 2nd of Nov. Incidentally, she has a fotopage too! http://whitedot.fotopages.com

Happy Birthday Jas!

Yup, I know what you mean. I also wanna go home now... But I like it here too.

Thanks dear.

EH! I update it okay!
