Some very very welcome rain at last!!! And a lot of it to boot... it rained for about 3 hours today, clearing away the heat that had steadily built itself up over the last couple of days! Looks like I'll be able to get a good sleep tonight!!

Took my bike apart today... will start packing the rest of my stuff in a moment!

i miss melbourne so much! bourke, lil bourke, russell, st kilda, crown, chapel, toorak, all of it!! Fri 26-Dec-2003 02:10

Sorry about the lack of updates lately! Been busy as anything with sponsorship and such. Also, it was rather hot lately (36 degrees!) and I totally didn't feel like going photo scavenging.

Anyway one of my friends brought me to brighton beach today. He's also a part time photo enthusiast. Hope it gives you an idea of what the beach is like here in Melbourne!

Jas, if you're reading this, I miss you already!!!

great photos ... hope you and jas have a happy christmas together Thu 18-Dec-2003 10:25

Apart

Jas left for home today, and she's on the plane as I'm typing this, probably about a half hour away from Singapore. Here are some of the photos we took at the Royal Exhibition Gardens just before leaving for the airport. Can't wait to head home myself... it's kinda exciting going back after being away from home for this long.

looking forward to seeing your photos of singapore next Mon 15-Dec-2003 09:56

Ahhh last day of the working week... not that it makes much of a diff considering that it's the middle of school vacations. The significance of today is that Jasmine goes home tomorrow! Incidentally, I arrived in Melbourne exactly one week before her to the hour, and now I'm leaving exactly one week after her to the hour as well!

Will be doing some last minute shopping with her before she departs for Singapore.
*sigh*
Now I have to do all my own laundry

Pigeons

"Hey we're not ostriches!?" "Shh! Just keep your head down!!"
Took a day off from sponsorship today (hooray!!) , and Jas got to do her much anticipated and awaited shopping trip. The downside to that was that I had to tag along
Anyway though I hate shopping, I really do enjoy spending time with her, so it sort of balanced out. Walked past the usual bunch of pigeons along Bourke street, only to find them rather busy with something....

Here are the photos I took yesterday.
It finally rained today, bringing about a cool and welcome change in the weather! And to top things off, the rain cleared up and the roads dried up just in time for me to clock in 60km on my bike before bed time (which would be right now)!

Great pics Chris

Sunset off Port Melbourne

Went to Port Melbourne for a quick round of photos today. Will upload those tomorrow though as I'm short on time, need to draft a couple of sponsorship letters tonight.

Was a boiling hot day today... sure hope it cools down tonight or I won't be getting much sleep!

It's the holidays, it's supposed to be relaxing!!!
Spent the afternoon at a sponsorship comittee meeting. Things are looking good, but it looks like a busy fortnight ahead.

Also watched Master and Commander.. what a draggy show..

Man's best friend...

Best friends stick by you and walk with you through it all
Ahhh the holidays are flying by so fast! And there's still sponsorship to clear up before I head back to singapore...

Today's photo is dedicated to my dog Rusha back home. I miss that cheerful wagging tail and all the piles of fur she used to shed all over the place! Ahh two more weeks and I'll get to see all my family and friends again.
Once again I would like to state that I do prefer Australia over Singapore as a country, but as a home, I do miss Singapore, and all the people I grew up knowing! And of course my dog, who wandered into my house (yeap she was a stray!) 7 years ago... I'd put a picture of her up, but I don't have any with me here.

ahhh..very nice entry..with the longing for home..kind of makes me feel sad for you..but then i think you are having the time of your life continent hopping..how i long to be in your shoes . Mon 8-Dec-2003 21:35

You sound a little homesick. Have a great reunion at home. Although since I am so far behind in viewing your pictures you must already be there. Anyway to answer your comments....The birds are small so they don't make much of a mess. I just follow them around with a little wipey. The heart moon picture was a happy accident that happened by my not being able to hold the camera perfectly still. Great pics Mon 29-Dec-2003 03:27
